YARM 1914 RE ENACTMENT - 2 and 3 August 2014
Willey Flatts Field, Yarm

The weekend of 2nd and 3rd August was a unique event held on Willey Flatts Field. 2 year's preparation went into the event which was seen by over 1,000 people.

There was a horse drawn ambulance on Saturday, a Drum Head Service on Sunday, Beamish Museum staff, food and the Great War, the Seasonal Singers, Claire Louise, a fairground and a 20m trench.

21 June 2014 - The Thankful Village - An original comedy drama
at The Fellowship Hall

2nd/3rd August - Re-enactment on Willey Flatts Field.

4th August - Candlelit Vigil.

13 September 2014 - Women of the Great War – a play and tell presentation by History Wardrobe plus a professional Soprano singing period songs during costume changes. The Royal British Legion will give a short talk on the history of the poppy as a symbol of remembrance.
